The UK will be attending the 2019 International Horticultural Expo in Beijing, China. This will be amongst the largest expos in China and the largest horticultural expo to date. The main theme will be ‘Live Green, Live Better’ and will highlight the latest horticulture development and achievements.
M has been involved with World Expos and Specialised Expos since 1991 and has designed and built the UK’s garden and pavilion working with both architects and horticultural experts to achieve the client’s vision and objectives. Occupying some 2,000 square meters with a headline theme of ‘Innovating for a greener future’, up to 16 million visitors will have the opportunity to see the latest in UK green innovation and garden design.
Every effort was made to celebrate the UK’s rich horticultural heritage and display our capabilities in green living, sustainability, and environmental conservation. Likewise, we understand that creative approaches need to be flexible and we have attached great importance to delivering a pavilion that will constantly transform thought the life of the expo.
John Young, creative director at M-is commented:
“We are particularly proud of this project. For this UK Pavilion the goal was to deliver snapshots of 21st Century British lifestyles through a wide variety of grade ‘design expressions’ that will excite and enthrall the audience, while being relevant to stakeholders and sponsors.
The EXPO Experience at the British Pavilion will be a journey of exploration of British transformation – our journey is not about enforcing stereotypical views but changing perceptions of the UK and what it has to offer on multiple levels”
