GCAP | Uniting nations for air superiority

The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) has made significant strides since its inception, evolving from the UK-led Team Tempest initiative into a multinational collaboration with Italy and Japan. Initially launched by M in 2018, Team Tempest focused on revitalising the UK’s combat air capabilities, developing cutting-edge technologies such as advanced propulsion systems, integrated sensors, and AI-driven systems.

The Global Combat Air Programme embodies 'progressing at pace'. The team at M has been intimately involved every step of the way, from its launch at the Farnborough Airshow in 2018, to continuing its communications throughout lockdown, and now with its presence at global events including DSEI and FIA2024.

The designers and project management teams have overcome challenges by applying remarkable solutions. None more so than when the GCAP government and industry partners unveiled a new concept model showcasing the notable progress the trilateral partners are making in the design and concepting of this next-generation combat aircraft. We produced a precise and to-scale replica of the aircraft, making it the hub for a dynamic storytelling experience. Truly immersive, the aircraft showed to the world its capabilities using the latest projection-mapping techniques and spatial audio.
