The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) has made significant strides since its inception, evolving from the UK-led Team Tempest initiative into a multinational collaboration with Italy and Japan. Initially launched by M in 2018, Team Tempest focused on revitalising the UK’s combat air capabilities, developing cutting-edge technologies such as advanced propulsion systems, integrated sensors, and AI-driven systems.
The designers and project management teams have overcome challenges by applying remarkable solutions. None more so than when the GCAP government and industry partners unveiled a new concept model showcasing the notable progress the trilateral partners are making in the design and concepting of this next-generation combat aircraft. We produced a precise and to-scale replica of the aircraft, making it the hub for a dynamic storytelling experience. Truly immersive, the aircraft showed to the world its capabilities using the latest projection-mapping techniques and spatial audio.
